The Camera Club of New York is proud to present Spaced Out: New Staff Work at CCNY, curated by Jesse Chan and John Stanley, an exhibition featuring work from emerging photographers and celebrating each artist’s valuable commitment to supporting CCNY in fulfilling its non-profit mission. This diverse group, comprised of sixteen staff members, highlights an extensive range of approaches to photography. From Ryan Foerster’s experiments in using color photographic paper as both the medium and image, to Christina Thurston’s black-and-white photographs that explore themes centered around families and an inherited religious identity; Spaced Out offers a wide variety of contemporary voices working in photography now, and demonstrates both a cohesive bridge and a puzzling divide among these distinctive artists.
