CCNY, conveniently located in Midtown, is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Members can sign up for three 4-hour sessions of darkroom time or 3-hour sessions of digital station time weekly. To find out more about membership, please go to our membership options page.

CCNY is happy to announce the addition of new digital equipment. We have acquired a new Mac computer and high-end large monitor, and now offer two digital stations for members to scan, edit and complete post-production work.
Our new Hasselblad Imacon X1 scanner, capable of scanning high-resolution digital files from 35mm, medium format, and 4x5 sheet film, is now housed in a private room, with a computer station solely dedicated to use with this scanner.
All members are able to use the Imacon, as well as our other digital, wet darkroom, and studio facilities, 24 hours a day. Signing up for CCNY membership is easy, and comes with many benefits. Join us today!
• Four well-equipped black & white and color darkrooms with multiple enlargers, lenses, large sinks, printing trays and digital timers. Working with negatives up to 4x5, members can print black-and-white photographs up to 20 x 24” and color images up to 30 x 40”.
• Two digital workstations, with three scanners: a Hasselblad Imacon X1 scanner, Nikon Super Coolscan 9000 medium format film scanner and Epson V700 flatbed scanner. Two 24” calibrated monitors, and high-speed wireless internet connection. Quad-core Mac with Adobe Photoshop, Bridge, Final Cut Pro, Illustrator, InDesign and other software. Our digital station with the Imacon scanner is housed in a private room.
• 32” wide Colex color processor. Print capacity up to 30” x 40”, monitored by volunteers and staff.
• Print finishing areas, including lightbox bank, two dry mount presses, and color-corrected magnetized print viewing wall.
• Secured access to all facilities 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with lockers and chemistry storage space.
