Each year, CCNY invites emerging photographers living in New York City to apply for the CCNY Darkroom Residency Program. This residency offers local photographers much-needed workspace in New York City as well as access to the CCNY community and programs.
A three-person jury selects four artists for the residency program. This year, CCNY received submissions from almost 250 NYC-based artists. The jury, which included CCNY Board member and artist Daniel Handal, artist and Women in Photography co-founder Cara Phillips, and artist and instructor Anna Shteynshleyger, was very impressed by the overall quality of the submissions, and the final choice was daunting.
CCNY would like to thank all the artists who entered this year, and we congratulate the four recipients of the 2014 CCNY Darkroom Residency Program:
Ido Abramsohn, Tema Stauffer, Patricia Voulgaris, and Ji Yeo. Please see the links below to view their work.
