CCNY invites emerging photographers living in New York City to apply annually for the Darkroom Residency Program. This residency offers local photographers much-needed workspace in New York City as well as access to the CCNY community and programs.
Each year, a three-person jury selects four artists for the residency program. The jury, which this year included Petrushka Bazin (artist and curator at Laudromat Project), Isaac Diggs (photographer and professor at SVA) and Joelle Jensen (photographer, independent curator and CCNY Board member), was very impressed by the quality of the almost 200 submissions, and the final choice was very competitive.
CCNY would like to thank all the artists who entered this year, and we congratulate the four recipients of the 2011 CCNY Darkroom Residency Program: Emile Dubuisson, Cara Phillips, Motohiro Takeda, and Rona Yefman. Please see the links below to view their work.
