The Camera Club of New York will present a Conversations Series Artist‘s Talk by Victor Sira
Saturday, July 31, 6–7pm (directly after the zine fair)
From a place of narrative construction and theoretical speculation to aesthetic objects in and of themselves, books have expanded the possibilities of artistic exploration in diverse media, often allowing innovations within traditional artistic practices. –Victor Sira
In his talk, as part of the CCNY Conversations Series and the 2010 Zine and Self–Published Book Fair, Victor Sira will discuss the forms and functions of books across various disciplines in modern and contemporary art, and the relationship between an artist book and the artist‘s process.

Eugene Smith Fellowship for Humanistic Photography. He curated Photography Book Dummies at the School of ICP, and recently exhibited two of his books at the Self–Publish, Be Happy Weekend at The Photographers‘ Gallery, London.
