Brett Bell was born in Sullivan, MO and lives in Brooklyn, NY. His affection for these places and the experiences and people encountered within them shapes his work visually and emotionally. He is currently working on an untitled imaginary portrait series based on teenage misfits, a portrait series of his closest friends called Life Is Meant to Be Shared, and multiple snapshot and stills series based on nostalgia and memory, called The Most Important Work of My Life, Simple Pleasures, and Inside of You Beats the Heart of a Hero. He completed his MFA in Photography at Parsons in 2008. His work was included in Daniel Cooney Fine Art‘s recent online emerging photographers auction. |
